Alright! Wow, this has been a total work-in-progress. I was originally going to debut this at Comic Con 2011, but didn't get any tickets. And then I tried for Comic Con 2012--and that was again denied me this year. So I am finally debuting it now.
What do you steampunkers think?
I was greatly inspired by Sir Conrad Wright III [link] I don't nearly have as cool of vampire hunting weapons as he does, but like I said--work-in-progress. I was also inspired by Lady Mechanika, she is the epitome of steampunk to me. So with those two always in my "costume thoughts" I concocted a vampire hunting costume. And so here it is! (I'm so looking forward to a proper photoshoot, so excuse the crappy quality.)
This Vampire Huntress is not the usual country vampire hunter. Her work is mainly stationed in a fantastical Steampunk city. There she watches from the shadows and dark alleys, her stakes always ready for some nocturnal creature impaling. The stakes are her weapons of choice, as well as her hands, and--of course--her mind.
I haven't decided the name for her yet, but if you come up with some suggestions then I'll be happy to name her that on my next update. If you amazing costumers have any suggestions or thoughts please feel free to comment away. This is seriously only my second steampunk costume, though I have been in love with the steampunk style for like three years now.
Crappy?! This is great! What do you need that wonderful friend with the amazing camera for?
Make this your deviantArt icon/avatar instead Leia and C3PO. I've always thought deviants need to use art by themselves as their avatar and this would make an awesome icon.
It is in my gallery now if you'd like to view it.
